Keychains are stamped on 14 gauge aluminum. This is a preferred metal for many metal stampers. Aluminum is a very lightweight metal and light scratching is normal with use and wear. Although it's lightweight, it is sturdy and will not bend under normal use.

Hand Stamping (or metal stamping) leaves a deep impression in the metal.

I do not stamp on both sides of the metal as the impression does go through to the back side a bit.
